“Therefore as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion,
kindness, humility, gentleness and patience…and over all these things,
put on love which is the perfect bond of unity”
Colossians 3: 12-14
The early church in Colossae was struggling with disagreements and division. The writer of the letter of Colossians reminds them to be rooted in Jesus exhibiting the behaviors of compassion, kindness, etc. and most of all love. The imagery of getting dressed is highlighted in the activities, conversation and teaching of this Messy Session. How can we choose to ‘put on’ on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and most of all love each and every day? How do these behaviors lead to unity rather than conflict?
You will receive two pdfs’ when you purchase this session. 1) A complete Messy Church session with introduction, instructions for ten activities, a script for celebration and take-home ideas and 2) Ready to print activity signs.
