Messy Church of the Month Celebration!
One of our Messy Church traditions is to revisit our Messy Churches of the Month during the month of December. During 2023, we traveled from coast to coast in the US and all the way to Western Australia to hear the stories of eight different expressions of Messy Church.
Take time to celebrate the gift of our messy connections. Get inspired by quotes from young and old as to what they like about Messy Church. Discover how local Messy Churches reach out to their communities. Get creatively inspired as we remember some of the favorite Messy activities of our churches.
Today we are celebrating the Messy Churches for January, February and April 2023.Click on the link to get the full story!

A few snippets of what people like about Messy Church???
- My church is small and doesn’t have many other teenagers. I like Messy Church because when I volunteer there, I get to help younger kids and meet other kids my age. I can’t wait for the next one to see friends!” Flora, 14, Messy Church volunteer(Bristol)
- “My grandchildren had never been to church. They wondered what it was all about. We went to The Messy Church; they had a great time with all the activities and friendly people. After attending they talked about going again. Now when we walk by the church, they talk about how much fun they have at the Messy Church instead of wondering what church is.” Patty, participant and grandmother of 4 Messy Church goers. (Bristol)
- What I like about Messy Church is the way our activities engage all generations to interact with the night’s message through fun crafts. There’s something for everybody. I love to see our senior adults sit side by side with teens and little kids helping each other make fun things. It’s in the doing that God can open the door for good conversation. Janine, age 70, (Cordova)
