You may consider using this in a three- month theme based on Jesus’ instruction in Matthew 22: 37-40: Love God!, Love your Neighbor!, and Love the World!

Love Your Neighbor is based on the story in Luke 10: 25-37 known to many as “The Good Samaritan”. This story may be new. It is difficult to know if the religious expert who asked Jesus,’ who is my neighbor’ was asking insincerity or if he was attempting to trick Jesus. No matter, Jesus uses one of his favorite answers…he tells a story. The neighbor in this story is not the one who believes or talks in the same way as the injured man. The neighbor is the stranger who shows compassion and mercy
