Messy Church USA is reflecting back and looking forward as we seek to fulfill our mission to equip Messy Churches in the USA to start, sustain and connect. Throughout the month of December, we will CELEBRATE that even in the midst of the uncertainty of a global pandemic, we have experienced many good things! We CELEBRATE that we have experienced God’s movement in and through our work this past year and we place our trust in God as we move beyond 2020 into 2021. In this final week of Celebrations, we are looking forward to what 2021 will bring as we say farewell to 2020.
Celebrate 2020: Saying farewell to 2020…looking forward to 2021
- We are excited that 2021 will bring a brand-new Messy Ambassador opportunity that will greatly expand our ability to equip Messy Churches in the USA to start, sustain and connect. Our Messy ambassadors replace our previous Regional Coordinator Network. Messy Ambassadors will promote, encourage and support the development of Messy Churches across all Christian denominations in the USA through sharing stories of Messy Church.
- The formation of the Communication and Training volunteer teams in 2020 has led to the formation of three new teams that will begin their work in 2021. The Encouragement & Prayer, Writing and Development teams will move us forward in continuing to meet our mission and provide more resources to local Messy Churches.
- We are making plans for our Celebrate the Mess National Conference 2.0. We are planning to gather in person in Chicago area on October 21-23, 2021. The plans include bringing Lucy Moore, founder of Messy Church and Stephen Fischbacher of Fischy music from Edinburgh across the pond to join us. Of course we will be monitoring if we are able to offer a safe and healthy event so stay tuned!
What are you celebrating as 2020 comes to a close? We invite you to celebrate with us! We need your prayers, stories, ideas, and financial support. Celebrate the end of 2020 and donate $ 20.20 to Messy Church USA. Your donation will help us keep our website attractive and user friendly. Your support makes it possible to offer relevant monthly webinars in 2021. Your donation helps us provide encouragement and coaching to Messy Churches getting started as well as those who may be a little stuck.
We celebrate that Messy Church is making a difference in many lives even in the midst of a pandemic. As you consider your Christmas gifts this year, we ask you to consider giving a tax deductible gift to Messy Church USA. Your donation will give us the resources we need to share the love of Christ through Messy Church today and in the years to come. Thank you for your support!
May you experience a very Merry Christmas and a specular start to a New Year!
