Description

This is a fantastically fully Messy Church session. On its own, this session focuses on the story of Elijah and the Widow from 1 Kings 17 with emphasis on the theme of generosity and God’s provision. Activities include games and crafts, plus the start of a Messy Church service project. Session plans also include how you can incorporate Communion/Eucharist into this Celebration if that works for your community. 

The session plans also give you ideas about how you can connect this story with the Wild Robot book series by Peter Brown. There are a few additional activities to connect the Bible story with the Wild Robot and an adapted Celebration plan. Add in a bonus movie night to watch the 2024 Wild Robot film for an extra special Messy Church!
