Practice sharing about your faith! Start with your leadership team or key volunteers in practices to grow in faith. When you gather, ask the question, how and where have you experienced God’s presence this past week/ month/ quarter? This helps us start to notice those times that may seem ordinary but are we have met God. It could be through a walk in nature or a conversation with a friend or in a bible study or personal devotion. Growing in Faith at Messy Church begins with modeling it with your team leaders.
Pray with one another and for your Messy Church! Is there someone in your local church that is your ‘prayer supporter’. Ask them to pray for your Messy Church team. Consider setting up a Messy Church prayer team whose task is to pray for the leadership team and those who are coming to Messy Church.
Reflect with one another after a Messy Church! Make use of the reflection questions in the Messy Church USA sessions to more actively engage with the purpose as to hosting Messy Church. Could you take a few minutes during clean up to share feedback with one another? Was there one activity where people asked questions, engaged in conversations, built relationship with another person?
Let us know how you intend to grow faith in your Messy Church this year!
